B-Grade. Semi-translucent to translucent agate with natural moss-like inclusions. The beautiful green shades range from sea green to dark forest green and cream to grey. Moss agate is well-polished with a smooth finish. Mohs' Hardness Scale - 6-1/2 - 7.
Moss agate is no agate, but it looks like agate. This beautiful clear stone with its mottled, moss-like inclusions is not regarded scientifically as agate. But it has the same chemical composition and the intriguing patterns of agate. Add moss agate to jewelry whenever you want a quiet and spiritual design.
