African brass bicone bead "Diola", 21mm
Cute round African brass bead made of many small rings. Handmade brass beads called "Lost wax beads". The completed beeswax mould is covered with six layers of fine charcoal dust to preserve the detail and then coated with clay. When the mould has dried it is heated and the wax melts and runs out. Molten brass is then poured into the mould.African bead designers give these beads the special well known charme.
