TierraCast® is a company situated in Santa Rosa, California which was founded in 1978 as West Earth Design. The founder, Steve Tierra, started the production with cast Sterling Silver and finally founded TierraCast® in 1981.

By now the company has specialized in casting pewter charms, beads and findings with extraordinary and very detailed designs and a high quality casting. The production takes place in the U.S. in order to guarantee its high quality and the founders wish to create working places in his own country. The pewter which is used is free of lead and contains hardly any nickel. This is ensured by regular tests on both lead and nickel.

After casting the items are electroplated with sterling silver, 22 ct. gold, rhodium or copper.
