Dogon brass bead Jaba, 33mm

The Dogon are an ethnic group living in the central plateau region of Mali, south of the Niger bend near the city of Bandiagara in the Mopti region. These handmade brass beads are a symbol of connecting and it is one of their elements for creating their jewelries. A very special element for creating folcloristic necklaces. These beads are made with very simple technical methodes and the sizes and shapes may vary a little bit. Combine these unique Dogon beads with another brass beads and other coloured glassbeads or gemstones.
