    Aventurine glass, also called Gold stone, is a synthetic glass that is often used as decoration material. However, it is not a natural mineral, as is often asserted in trade but  Aventurine glass is made with in a small flame. In a normal environment, the copper would react to silicon in the glass to form a blue-green glass, but at the relatively low temperature of the small combustion flame, which is isolated as a copper atom to form small crystalline compounds. The finished Aventurine glass can be polished, ground or poured into molds and is often offered as an alleged semi-precious stone for jewelery. A special glass for creating fine glass beads.
